Fussell is an Atlanta based law firm representing clients
throughout the United States. The firm was founded in 1970
with the primary focus on service to the construction industry.
Since that time, the firm has expanded its areas of practice
to include insurance and surety law, labor and employment
law, professional malpractice, bankruptcy, alternative dispute
resolution and personal injury and wrongful death. In addition,
we provide representation in corporate and securities law
and related transactions and litigation. We help clients avoid
disputes and assist clients in resolving disputes by facilitating
settlement or maximum advocacy at trial. The firm's experience and quality of work are reflected in its "AV"
rating, the highest rating issued by the national Martindale-Hubbell
Law Directory. The firm's resources are enhanced by membership
in MSI, a worldwide association of independent professional
firms.
The firm has 21 lawyers, all with strong academic backgrounds and professional experience. Each lawyer has a commitment to the continuing development of skills in the representation of construction industry and other clients, and to staying abreast of current demands and changing needs within the industry. We participate in the Forum on the Construction Industry, the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee, the Public Contract Law Section and the Construction Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association, as well as the Construction Law and ADR Sections of the Atlanta Bar Association.
Additionally, our lawyers are active participants and leaders in construction industry seminars and trade organizations such as the Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. (AGC), the American Subcontractor Association (ASA), the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA), the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), along with various surety and industry insurance/risk management organizations. A number of our lawyers serve as members of the American Arbitration Association Construction Industry Panel of Arbitrators. In addition, several of our lawyers have been selected to serve as mediators by private parties and courts. We frequently hold in-house seminars and round table discussions with our clients. By direct interaction, we stay keenly aware of current issues and concerns in the industry and have demonstrated leadership in the quest to more effectively handle these issues. We have a highly competent support staff which works closely with our attorneys to provide clients with a professional team effort.
